We ahve been heading south for a few days now. But it’s been slow going - we are hauling 2 full barges, one full of canned salmon, the other full of frozen. We have a larger crew, a second mate and 2 refer techs, which is a good change - a little social booster shot.
Our ETA to Seattle varies from the 6th to the 12th. One of our engines has been over heating, but the chief has set up some jury rigged ventilation - so now we are able to get the spped up to a whopping 6 knots. I don’t know if we willl be able to keep up this pace - we may return to our walking pace of the last few days.
Haven’t been i n cell range since Nome. Hopefully willl have a brief window on the 31st.
