Hey y’all — Thanks for being you.
Ok so I am a little late with the official sentiment, but get over it. Â Made pies with my mom, for t-day, then during my traditional sharpening of her knives on major holidays…. I split my middle finger down the center. Â Â Â Pretty stoopid. Â It’s going to heal fine, but I’ll probably have a scar.
As if to put that into perspective — I saw this scene on the train back from Portland.  Took me a moment to realize that these humvees where returning.
 
I snapped picture when I realized what it was…..those vehicles where beat up pretty good, patched and welded and stuck together.   Not one looked unscathed.   And it reminded me we are still at war and while I am safe here at home, young American men and women are living in lousy to worse conditions, and getting worked over physically and emotionally.   And it’s going to be some time for all that to heal.  So Bran and the rest of you… Thanks.
