So, full week. Some good, some bad. First, I put my application into the coast guard. It took nearly an hour to review the app! It’s all in and looks in order. Now I wait for background checks and the evaluation of my application. Sometime in the next couple of months I’ll get approval to take the exam. Then a week of exams and another torturous wait to get my license. Assuming all goes well.
On the bad side, all of my camera equipment was stolen from the house I was staying at, so expect fewer pictures for a bit.

Sad news about your camera. I’m sure it was a wonderful one. Stuff like that happens a lot. Mine, very inexpensive, but with great photos, was taken from my car about a year ago.

A good friend of mine was in the Coast Guard for a few years. Now he’s a contractor working for Homeland Security in Alameda. Good luck, dude. Glad to see posting is working again.
